NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Pink Chapter gives women facing breast cancer a day of beauty and pampering. On Monday they celebrated their first anniversary.
“A style and beauty makeover can restore some of what treatment steals during a time when it can be difficult to wash your own hair (or you lose it altogether) and dress yourself,” said Deidre DeFelice. “Our goal is to help women feel pretty again.”
Tina Adams Consulting and Hair by Deidre started The Pink Chapter to give the brave women dealing with breast cancer an experience full of personal styling, a makeover, a $100 shopping voucher, a photo session, two nights of food delivery, a yoga class and more.
“With our work through The Pink Chapter we come alongside women battling what can be the hardest chapter of their lives to provide an uplifting and rewarding experience,” said Adams. “There’s no question that feeling good about yourself can make a big difference in attitude and confidence while being treated for breast cancer.”
Those who wish to support The Pink Chapter can nominate a friend, sister or mother dealing with breast cancer.
