Nolensville officer sees burglary in progress, makes arrest

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Nolensville officer was in the right place at the right time Sunday when he witnessed a daytime burglary.

According to an affidavit, Officer Sonny Warren saw three men breaking into a house on Burkitt Place.

Officer Warren got out of his patrol car and asked the men what they were doing. He found a stolen handgun in the center console of the car, and when he ran a check, he discovered a warrant for one of the passengers, 18-year-old Robert Newsome.

One of the men ran, but the officer was able to take Newsome into custody and his bond is set at$20,000.
