Man hit, killed by train in Murfreesboro Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a man was hit and killed by a train this weekend in Murfreesboro.

Police say Austin Sienk was wearing headphones while walking down the tracks near South Church Street Sunday morning, close to Middle Tennessee Blvd.

The train engineer and conductor told investigators that the subject appeared to be wearing headphones and did not appear to hear them repeatedly blowing the train horn or the noise from the brakes.
