NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two men were arrested Friday in connection with the death of a Goodlettsville man who was shot and killed in January 2015.
Kendrick Pointer was shot and killed during a robbery attempt at his home on Greens Circle on Jan. 5.
Police reported 23-year-old Alonzo King and 32-year-old Courtney Brown went to Pointer’s home with the intent to rob him.
According to an affidavit, Pointer came out of his apartment and was shot by King. Pointer was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
During a police interview, King reportedly admitted to firing the fatal shot that killed Pointer. Brown was named as a co-conspirator to the robbery, according to police.
King and Brown were booked into the Metro jail and charged with criminal homicide. Brown’s bond was set at $250,000.
King’s bond was set at $433,000. He faces additional charges of burglary, assault, evading arrest, order of protection violation and possession of a controlled substance.
