COLUMBIA, S.C. (WKRN) – The Maury Hazardous Operations Team’s water rescue crews have rescued over 60 people from flood waters in South Carolina.
The team of six arrived in Columbia, S.C. on Oct. 9 as the state began to experience historical flooding. They were sent to Georgetown a day later.
At this time, the team has rescued or assisted over 60 people.
The team is a partnership between the Columbia and Maury County.
Several Middle Tennessee agencies also geared up and headed out to help.
