Police: Man arrested after trying to sell stolen trailer to undercover officer

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 30-year-old man was arrested Thursday after police say he intended to sell a stolen trailer to an undercover officer.

According to police, Jeremiah Ray delivered the stolen utility trailer to a parking lot in Goodlettsville.

He and two accomplices were then detained at the scene.

Ray is charged with two counts of theft over $500 by the Goodlettsville Police Department and one count of theft over $1,000 by Hendersonville police.

Police said they believe Ray could be responsible for several other trailer thefts.

Over the past month, police said there have been approximately 20 utility trailers stolen in the Hendersonville area.

Anyone who has purchased a trailer from Ray is urged to call Hendersonville police at 615-573-5400.

Ray remains jailed on a $30,000 bond. He’s due in court Nov. 18.
