Metro police continue search for fatal hit-and-run driver

The victim, 38-year-old Chibuzor Diala, was seen walking north on Bell Road in the bicycle lane prior to police responding to reports of a man down in the roadway.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police continue to search for a driver who hit and killed a man in August on Bell Road.

The accident occurred at 4 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, on Bell Road near Ned Shelton Road.

The victim, 38-year-old Chibuzor Diala, was seen walking north on Bell Road in the bicycle lane prior to police responding to reports of a man down in the roadway.

His 2004 Nissan Maxima was located nearby, locked and running. It’s unknown why Diala was outside of his car.

One witness reported seeing a vehicle by the victim’s body as he drove up, but said the vehicle left quickly thereafter.
