NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro Animal Care and Control is hosting a “Clear the Shelter” adoption event in an effort to provide a home for nearly 300 animals.
Beginning Saturday through Oct. 17 all adoption fees will be waived for qualified adopters.
“Clear the Shelter is a great way to raise awareness about the many dogs and cats that are in need of permanent homes,” said Rebecca Morris, spokesperson for Metro Animal Care and Control. “We need the support of the community to make events like this a success.”
Officials said there are approximately 200 dogs and 100 cats in need of a forever home.
To take advantage of the reduced adoption fees, visit Metro Animal Care and Control at 5125 Harding Place.
The facility is open for adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All dogs and cats are microchipped, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.
