FBI responds to White House bank robbery

WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Federal Bureau of Investigation, alongside other authorities, responded to a bank robbery in White House Friday morning.

According to Smokey Barn News, it happened at the Volunteer State Bank at 2920 Highway 31 West.

The suspect entered the bank and then passed a note to the teller stating he had a weapon and that this was a robbery.

Smokey Barn News reported the suspect became “spooked” and grabbed the note back before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male who is around 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue jacket and khaki-colored ball cap at the time.
