North Dakota fugitive arrested at Nashville college

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A North Dakota fugitive accused of robbing a hotel was arrested at a Nashville college on Tuesday.

Eybon Watkins, 24, was charged with misdemeanor carrying a weapon on school property after a loaded gun was found inside his backpack and small amount of marijuana was found in his left sock during his arrest at Tennessee State University around 4:45 p.m.

Police believe Watkins robbed a Ramada Inn where he used to work in Bismarck, North Dakota, at gunpoint last month.

Four hours after the robbery, Watkins got on a Greyhound bus for Minneapolis, Minnesota.  It’s unclear when he arrived to Nashville.

Watkins will be sent back to North Dakota to face his charges.
