NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – News 2 learned Wednesday the Bellevue Center mall is expected to be demolished by Christmas.
At last word, developers were in the process of completing the asbestos survey, which is required by the city of Nashville, to receive their demolition permit.
The asbestos has since been removed from the existing building.
Demolition is now slated to be complete by Christmas with crews working from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily.
New construction on the $200 million development named One Bellevue Place will then begin next July, with business beginning by Thanksgiving 2017.
