NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Fourteen men and women celebrated a very special graduation Wednesday afternoon in Nashville.
They were recognized for successfully completing a Davidson County drug treatment program headed by General Sessions judge Casey Moreland.
Graduates of varying ages and backgrounds shared amazing stories of survival after being brought together for a second chance.
The room at downtown’s Justice A.A. Birch Building was so packed, it was standing room only.
Families, friends, elected officials all gathered to honor and hand out diplomas to those in the drug and alcohol treatment program.
One of today’s graduates gave birth to a drug free baby while in the program.
District attorney Glenn Funk served as keynote speaker.
