Man accused of slapping, choking girlfriend in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Nashville man was arrested Saturday for false imprisonment and aggravated assault against his girlfriend, police said Tuesday.

James Haddix, 24, remains in the Williamson County jail on $45,000 bond.

Franklin police report an officer was flagged down by a woman on foot who said she had been assaulted.

The victim stated her boyfriend was visiting her when he slapped her in the face, picked her up by her neck and began choking her when she tried to leave.

Haddix was arrested later that day in Antioch. He’s due in court Oct. 8.
