NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — More affordable housing is coming to east Nashville as developers and dignitaries broke ground Tuesday on a new complex.
The condos, called Solo East, are one block east of the corner of Litton Avenue and Gallatin Pike.
Harpeth Development is behind the project, described as an affordable gated community. Units will begin at $149,900.
It’s a project Megan Barry pushed for when she was on the city council.
“We need housing for homeless; we need housing for young millennials. We need housing for senior citizens. This is a price point that gives access to a lot of people in town who don’t have access to housing at the moment,” she said.
The condoes are already 65 percent occupied.
