NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A police affidavit shows Whitney Gray, 21, and Brandon Griswold, 20, confessed to “planning to kill and killing Preston Claybrooks and Alexandra Grubbs as the two slept in their bed.”
The duo also confessed to attempting to conceal the crime, according to the document.
Gray and Griswold were arrested Monday afternoon and each face two counts of criminal homicide. They are due in court Wednesday.
The bodies of Claybrooks, 24, and Grubbs, 23, were discovered inside unit A-3 of the Howe Garden Apartments on Greenwood Avenue in East Nashville.
The victims’ bodies were found wrapped in bedspreads under boxes and debris in a utility closet, according to the affidavit.
The victims had two children together, a son and a daughter.
