Woman killed in Cumberland Furnace crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was killed and a man was injured in a crash Saturday evening in Cumberland Furnace, near the Montgomery-Dickson County line.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary report, Alyssa Glidden was driving south on State Highway 48 just before 7:30 p.m. when she crossed the center line by three feet.

The front left end of her Ford Explorer crashed into an oncoming motor home.

Glidden, 24, died from her injuries and the driver of the motor home was injured.

Information on his condition wasn’t immediately available.
