NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested Sunday morning after reportedly pointing a gun at a driver on Interstate 24 in Davidson County after the driver tried to pass him.
According to an affidavit, Paz Tovar was the passenger in a car traveling on I-24 when another car tried to pass on the right side.
Tovar, 34, reportedly made an offensive hand gesture at the victim and the car he was in sped away.
When the victims caught back up, Tovar pulled out a pistol, cocked it and pointed it at them, according to report.
The victim was able to identify him after officers pulled him over, and the affidavit states that Tovar also smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking.
He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
Tovar’s bond was set at $25,000.
