NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Nashville principal is rewarding his students by cutting his hair into a Mohawk and dyeing it blue.

Students at Eakin Elementary School in Hillsboro Village met their school fundraising goal selling City Saver Coupon books.

The students raised $15,000 for the school.

In exchange for the students’ hard work, Principal Tim Drinkwine promised he would cut his hair into a Mohawk and dye it blue.

On Monday, he kept his promise.

“Hair will grow back. This is an unforgettable experience for our students. At the end of the day my focus is on students. It’s all about students. So to give them a memory and an experience they won’t forget,” he said.

Eakin will spend its $15,000 profits on classroom materials and technology.
