NASHVILLE, Tenn (WKRN) – New train and bus fares go into effect Monday after the Board of Directors for the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee recently approved a five percent increase, to the nearest quarter.
According to a release from the RTA, regular express bus prices will increase to $4.25 and a 20-ride bus pass will increase to $73.50.

The RTA has not raised its train and bus prices in nearly four years, but increasing fuel and operating costs have risen, impacting the budget.
