Police search for suspects after Donelson McDonald’s robbed at gunpoint

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are searching for two men who robbed a fast food restaurant at gunpoint in Donelson early Friday morning.

It happened at the McDonald’s on Donelson Pike near Nashville International Airport around 1:230 a.m.

Police told News 2 the men entered the restaurant with guns and wearing masks.

One suspect held the employees at gunpoint while the other went to an office, located an unlocked safe and took the night deposit.

The suspects fled the scene in a white car with $3,000 from the restaurant. They did not attempt to take money from the registers.

A short time later, police found a car matching the suspect’s vehicle description crashed near the intersection of Karen and Patricia drives.

Inside the car they also found two masks.

K-9 officers searched the area but were unable to find anything.

The suspects were described as black males and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall.

The investigation is ongoing.
