NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Country legend Kenny Rogers announced on Friday he is retiring.
The announcement was made on morning television Friday and on YouTube.
“I’ve had an incredible career. It was more than I ever dreamed,” he said in a YouTube video.
Rogers will embark on a farewell tour before officially leaving the business.
The 77-year-old said he plans to spend time with his family, including his young twin sons Justin and Jordan.
Details and dates for Rogers’ final world tour will be announced in the coming months.
