NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium celebrated its 90th birthday Monday.

When it was initially built in 1925, it was dedicated as a monument to the thousands of Tennesseans who fought and died in World War I.

Ray Charles, Liberace, Kiss and Lady Gaga have all performed at the facility.

A historic marker that highlights building’s creation will soon be placed at Seventh Avenue and Union Street.
