CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A business’ door locking system trapped an attempted shoplifter until police arrived in Clarksville.
According to Clarksville Now, Ina Tucker was arrested after the Sept. 18 incident at Mulligan’s on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Police said the suspect was seen concealing two bottles of tequila inside a bag then attempted to leave the store without paying.
Once past the point of sale, the employee activated their door locking system, trapping Tucker in the business’ foyer.
Tucker reportedly admitted to taking the liquor bottles, which police found in her bag, Clarksville Now reports.
She was arrested and charged with theft of property and public intoxication. Her bond was set at $1,439.
Police said she has a history of theft, prostitution, aggravated assault, and drugs.
