NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – On Friday, Sept. 25, Nashville will have its first woman as mayor.
Megan Barry will take the oath of office in an inauguration ceremony at 2 p.m. at Public Square Park in Nashville, right in front of the place she’ll work for the next four years.
“Tonight we start a new chapter in Nashville of the Nashville story,” Barry said on election night. “And that story is the saga that is written every day by the people in this room and those of you who are watching at home.”
Vice Mayor David Briley will also be sworn in, along with new council members.
