Runners hustle for Ronald McDonald Charities of Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The fifth annual Ronald McDonald House Charities “Hustle for the House” 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run took place Saturday morning.

The event is to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville, which provides a home away from home for children receiving care at Nashville-area hospitals.

The chip-timed race began and finished at the Nashville Ronald McDonald House and follow a certified course through the Hillsboro West End Neighborhood.

News 2’s Paige Hill emceed the event and many News 2 employees took part in the family-friendly race.

The Ronald McDonald House recently dedicated a new playroom after News 2 anchors Neil Orne and Dawn Davenport helped raise money for the project while running the Country Music Marathon in April.
