Police searching for armed bank robbery suspect in Shelbyville

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Bedford County on Thursday.

It happened at the First Community Bank, located at 2841 Highway 231 North, around 1 p.m.

Police told News 2 the suspect entered the bank, handed the teller a note stating he was armed and demanded cash.

The man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as around 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a slim build.
