NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN)— Metro Animal Care and Control has over 20 senior pets waiting for their forever home.
After a sudden increase in the amount of senior pets in their care, the shelter will host “Senior Saturday” on Sept. 18. Adoption fees will be lowered to $15 for all pets 5 and older.
“We hope that people will see the sweet faces and white muzzles of these dogs and give them a second chance.” said Rebecca Morris, spokesperson for Metro Animal Care and Control.
The shelter typically has a senior discount to assist older dogs in finding their forever homes. The adoption fee for senior dogs 5 years or older is typically just $45.
Metro Animal Care and Control is located at 5125 Harding Place, Nashville, Tenn. and open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
