NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Construction on Interstate 40 in downtown Nashville continues this weekend.
The interstate will be closed from the I-40/I-65 split west of downtown to the I-40/I-65 split south of downtown beginning Friday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. until Monday, Sept. 21 at 6 a.m.
Herman Street will also be closed between 12th and 14th Avenues, across from Nashville Tent & Awning.
Built in 1968, the I-40 bridges over Herman Street, Clinton Street, Jo Johnston Avenue and Charlotte Avenue need repair.
Dubbed Fast Fix 8, the $62 million project will replace four twin bridges using Accelerated Bridge Construction.
