NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Construction will soon begin on a 34-home residential development in south Nashville, adjacent to Trevecca Nazarene University.
Walden Village will include both cottages and townhomes on three acres of land between Nance Lane and Parris Avenue.
“Walden Village is a dream come true. For many years, the Trevecca campus was enriched by neighbors who worked at the university and participated in the life of the campus. We are now at a pivotal moment of restoring a neighborhood around Trevecca,” said Trevecca President Dan Boone. “Walden Village is the first stage of this new initiative to bring vibrant neighborhoods around Trevecca.”
The construction, which will be done by Parkside Builders, will be done in three phases.
Phase 1 includes 14 cottages and a five-unit townhome building. Officials with Trevecca said the units, which offer “diverse streetscapes,” are already nearly sold out.
Prices currently range between $213,900 and $254,900. Click here to see floor plans.
The first phase should be complete around May 2016. It will take about a year and a half to finish the entire project.
