NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Titans defense faces Jameis Winston among other challenges on Sunday against the Buccaneers.
“It’s his first year in the NFL, so you know he’ll get better as he goes along but I don’t look at this guy as a rookie passer at all. He can throw the ball any place and get it in there,” said legendary coach Dick LeBeau of Winston.
The other challenges? Wide receivers Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans.
Both Jackson and Evans stand 6 foot 5 inches and weigh about 230 pounds, making them difficult to not only cover but tackle in the open field.
Linebacker Zach Brown acknowledges the size of the receivers, but believes the corners and safety’s are “going to take care of it.”
“You’re going to just have to make your tackles and be physical at the point of contact and find a way to get them down,” said cornerback Bildi Wreh-Wilson.
The Titans face the Buccaneers Sunday afternoon at 3:25 p.m. in Tampa Bay.
