Woman arrested after gun found inside purse at Montgomery County courthouse

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was arrested Wednesday in Montgomery County after Clarksville police say she attempted to carry a concealed firearm into the courthouse.

Elizabeth Walthour was charged with carrying a weapon during judicial proceedings after an x-ray machine detected the gun as she arrived at the courthouse for a 10:30 a.m. arraignment for a traffic citation.

After the detection alert, deputies found a loaded revolver containing three rounds when searching her purse.

Walthour does not have a conceal carry permit.

Her bond was set at $25,000.
