MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Millersville woman faces child abuse charges after police say a verbal argument escalated and the mom took it one step too far.

Jennifer Easley, 40, allegedly used a stun gun on her 16-year-old and 13-year-old sons.

According to a police report obtained by News 2, officers responded a home on Lassiter Drive for a call of a domestic dispute.

When they arrived, the 16-year-old told police his mom had refused to take him to school the next day so he tried to block her from leaving the home.

He said his aunt then intervened and hit him in the mouth, causing him to bleed.

He then told police when he started hitting his aunt to get her off of him, his mother used a pink flashlight stun gun on him.

Easley told police when her 13-year-old tried to break up the fight, she tazed him too.

“We try to look at the situation in the big picture and in my opinion a Tazer is not appropriate,” said Millersville police Chief David Hindman.

Chief Hindman pointed out both adults weigh more than the children and could’ve been able to restrain them. The teen is 6 foot 3 inches tall and 180 pounds, but his mom is 5 feet 6 inches and 255 lbs. His aunt is 5 feet 1 inch and 245 lbs.

“It could’ve been all different ways of handling it right than using a Tazer,” he said.

Neighbor Kristi Gallant said she heard the fight late Tuesday night.

“I started hearing screaming and shouting and lights were going on and off and eventually there were police officers and an ambulance here,” she said. “I felt bad for the children and for the mom because that’s a lot of violence between a mother and her children.”

Easley’s sister, 38-year-old Jaqueline Suttle, was charged with domestic assault. The 16-year-old was charged with domestic assault and being an unruly child.

News 2 went to their home but no one wanted to give their side of the story. Since the mom and aunt were both charged, their children were released to a third family member.
