NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two teenagers arrested Friday after running from police were charged with murder Tuesday.
Evidence links Shirin Khwaga, 18, and her boyfriend Markeil Williams, 19, to the shooting death of Kevin Ibarra.
The 16-year-old was found dead in the kitchen of his Isabelle Lane residence by a friend Friday.
Police said Ibarra sustained three gunshot wounds to the head.
Evidence connecting the two to the Thursday murder of 20-year-old Cianan Napier on Patricia Drive will be presented to the Davidson County Grand Jury in the near future for indictment consideration.
A 15-year-old also remains under investigation in connection to both homicides.
All three suspects were taken into custody Friday after Khwaga fled from officers before crashing into a utility pole. All three were in the vehicle at the time, and officers found two guns from the vehicles floorboards.
The 15-year old was carrying two pistols and a plastic tub of marijuana when he fled before officers captured him in a field.
After her arrest, Khwaga was charged with unlawful gun possession, evading arrest and two counts of aggravated robbery stemming from a Friday morning home invasion on Cedar Pointe Parkway.
Markeil Williams was charged with unlawful gun possession, possession of marijuana for resale and unlawful gun possession.
Both are being held at Metro jail and are due in court Monday morning.
The 15-year-old remains in detention after being charged at Juvenile Court with evading arrest, possession of marijuana for resale, and two counts of unlawful gun possession.
