NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Titans were true to their word and stayed busy tinkering their roster Sunday, adding three new players.
The Titans sent a conditional 2016 draft pick to the Cleveland Browns for running back Terrence West. He was the Browns’ third round pick out of Towson in 2014.
Tennessee also added linebackers David Bass and Steven Johnson off of the waiver wire. Bass played two seasons in Chicago registering 29 tackles and four sacks. Johnson was cut by the Denver Broncos. He started seven games last season in Denver with 22 tackles.
To make room on the roster, the Titans waived linebackers Jonathan Massaquoi and Justin Staples and tight end Chase Coffman.
Running back David Cobb will start the season on injured reserve, designated for return. Cobb can return to practice in six weeks and return to game action after eight.
The team has also filled out seven of ten spots on its practice squad signing offensive lineman Will Poehls, guard Josue Matias, receiver Tre McBride, receiver Rico Richardson, running back David Fluellen, tight end Tevin Westbrook and safety Josh Aubrey.
