Free adoptions this weekend at 3 different animal shelters

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – If you’ve been thinking about adding a pet to your family, this could be the perfect weekend to do it.

Mars Petcare is sponsoring up to 300 adoptions at three Middle Tennessee shelters on Friday and Saturday. It’s the company’s way of giving back to the community.

There are 100 cats and 80 dogs at Metro Animal Control alone, and they’re at capacity.

Each location will be offering the free adoptions from 10 a.m until 5 p.m. both Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5.

  • Williamson County Animal Shelter, 106 Claude Yates Drive, Franklin, TN 37064
  • Nashville Humane Association, 213 Oceola Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209

Mars Petcare also made a $10,000 donation to the Nashville Parks Association and $500 to 28 rescue shelters around the city.
