DONELSON, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 20-year-old man was killed in a shooting near the Nashville airport Thursday evening.
It happened in the 900 block of Patricia Drive just after 5 p.m.
Police said they were initially called to nearby Glastonbury Road on a report of a suicidal person.
Investigators were eventually led about a half mile away to Patricia Drive where the victim, identified as Cianan Napier, was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
“[It was] obvious he had been shot and that it was a homicide and not a suicide,” Commander Terrence Graves said.
Police said they are working to confirm the names of two teens who reportedly had been involved in a dispute with Napier earlier Thursday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police said at the time of his death, Napier was wanted by police for aggravated burglary that occurred at an apartment on Dabbs Avenue on August 9.
Anyone with information is urged to call police at 615-74-CRIME.
