CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Clarksville police are searching for the man who asked to look at a diamond ring before switching it with a ring valued at only $10.
It happened at the Walmart store located in the 2300 block of Madison Street last Thursday evening.
While the store associate was occupied getting out a second piece of jewelry for the unidentified man, he reportedly switched a ring valued at nearly $1,500 with a ring worth only $10.
The suspect left the store after telling the employee he needed time to think about the purchase.
Police said the same man has committed similar crimes in Smyrna.
