NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One woman was killed in an overturned vehicle crash, which closed Interstate 65 South in north Nashville early Friday morning.
The crash occurred just past the Rosa L. Parks exit around 3:30 a.m.
The woman was reportedly driving on Interstate 40 West when her car flipped, throwing her from the vehicle.
Police told News 2 the victim was not wearing her seat belt.
The southbound lanes of I-65 were closed to traffic for four hours.
The ramp to I-40 East was also closed and eastbound traffic was diverted to I-440 via I-40 West.
The roadway reopened to traffic around 7:30 a.m.
No additional information was immediately released.
