NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 43-year-old man accused of raping a 22-year-old woman earlier this week is now charged with sexually assaulting a second woman in a separate incident.
Lamont Starnes is accused of allegedly attacking a 43-year-old woman at her 14th Avenue apartment on Wednesday.
The latest victim told police she knew Starnes and let him in her apartment when he knocked on her door claiming to be selling hair products.
The victim reported Starnes grabbed her by the throat with both hands and began choking her before forcibly raping her.
The woman identified Starnes as her assailant from a police lineup.
Starnes is now charged with aggravated rape.
He was initially taken into police custody Thursday morning for a separate incident where he allegedly took $10 from a 29-year-old woman.
Starnes is also accused of raping a 22-year-old woman in Nashville early Sunday morning.
