NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Toronto Blue Jays have been the hottest team in baseball since acquiring former Vanderbilt star and Cy Young winner David Price.

Thursday the Blue Jays won their 11th straight game with a 4-2 win over the Oakland A’s to take over the division lead in the AL East from the New York Yankees.

David Price is back on the mound Friday looking for his third win in a Blue Jays uniform as Toronto hosts the Yankees.

In two games with the Blue Jays Price has gone 15 innings, striking out 18 batters while giving up just one earned run.

Tomorrow’s series with the Yankees is the most pivotal of the season and with three games on the slate, it’s a chance to add some distance to 1st place in the AL East.
