Kok fires 77 in opening round of PGA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – For the second straight year Brentwood’s Johan Kok played round 1 of the PGA Championship.

After two bogey’s and two birdies, Kok was even through six holes before finishing the round with six more bogey’s and a score of five over par. After round one, he was tied for 123rd.

Kok is 11 shots off the lead held by Dustin Johnson who shot six under on day one.

He’ll likely need a score of five under or better if he wants to make the weekend cut.
