Man shot in chest outside Antioch nightclub

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was shot in the chest outside an Antioch nightclub early Sunday morning.

It happened at a club called The Complex, located at 1141 Bell Road in the Home Depot shopping center, around 3 a.m.

Police told News 2 the victim was speaking with two women outside the club when a man pulled up in a newer-model black Nissan Maxima and fired one to two shots.

The victim, who police said was around 24 years old, was struck once in the chest.

The suspect fled the scene on foot toward Bell Road where he was picked up in the black Maxima with three other people inside.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male or light-skinned black male, around 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing faded jeans and a white T-shirt.

Police said witnesses are cooperating with the investigation.

Witness Brian Toran told News 2 “People pretty much scattered, everyone tried to find safety basically and it really didn’t last too long. The security inside responded pretty quickly.”
