RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A caseworker with the Department of Children’s Services has been charged after authorities say he had unlawful sexual contact with a woman at a home he was visiting this week as part of his routine work.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed the case to News 2 Wednesday and announced the charges against 42-year-old Eulice Handy Thursday.
Agents learned that while on duty Tuesday, Handy visited a home in La Vergne to conduct an assessment of the living conditions.
He’s accused of then making contact with an adult female at the home and having sexual contact without her consent. Handy is no longer employed by DCS.
He was charged with one count of sexual battery Thursday and booked into the Rutherford County jail.
Handy, who hails from Nashville, is being held on $25,000 bond.
