MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Memphis Grizzlies have signed All-Star Center Marc Gasol.
Even though the Grizzlies did not release the terms of the deal, the five-year max deal will reportedly pay him over $100 million.
Last season was the best of Gasol’s career. He averaged 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.62 blocks.
He also set career highs for total points, scoring average, field goals made and attempted.
At 30, Gasol didn’t rush into free agency meeting only with the owner of the Grizzlies, Robert Pera, before agreeing to the new deal.
Currently, Gasol ranks second in franchise history with 517 career games played and 510 starts and also became the first Grizzlies player voted to the All-NBA first Team.
