BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – The wrong-way driver stopped by a brave Brentwood officer on Interstate 65 has now been charged with reckless endangerment.
Sandra Sharpe was handed down an indictment by a grand jury in the March 31 incident.
When Officer Cliff Thompson responded to calls of the wrong-way driver, he stopped northbound traffic and waited for the driver headed southbound in his direction.
As Sharpe got closer, he used the front of his patrol car to strike her front left fender.
Sharpe was taken into custody after being treated for minor injuries in the crash, but she’s now out on bond and due in court this August.
