SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was shot during a robbery Monday night in a Springfield home while there were three other people sleeping inside.
According to Smokey Barn News, it happened around 11:15 p.m. on Laramie Drive.
The victim was reportedly on the porch using a cell phone when two men with a gun approached.
It’s unclear if the victim ran inside, or if the suspects forced him in, but once indoors the suspects took money, a cell phone and car keys, the paper reported.
The suspects reportedly searched a car that was parked in front of the home before they left, and at some point the 34-year-old victim was shot in pelvic
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but information regarding his condition wasn’t immediately available.
The suspects were described as two black men with thin builds, according to Smokey Barn News.
One man was reportedly wearing a blue ball cap with a white shirt and black pants. The second suspect had on all black with a bandanna covering his face, the paper stated.
Officers told Smokey Barn News that there were multiple robberies over the weekend and witnesses all described similar suspects.
