NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A couple is accused of selling marijuana out of a truck while their 6-year-old daughter was in the backseat Friday in south Nashville.
Police were called to Brevard Court after neighbors suspected the couple was selling drugs out of a blue Dodge Durango in the area.
According to an affidavit, Kirby Waters, 25, and Alysia Waters, 27, were inside a truck matching the neighbor’s description along with their 6-year-old daughter.

A plastic bag containing 164 grams of marijuana, a digital scale with marijuana residue on it and a loaded semi-automatic handgun were found inside the backpack, according to police.
Officers took the couple into custody and the child was released into the care of her grandparents, who responded to the scene.
The couple was booked into the Metro jail and charged with child neglect, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony weapon possession. Alysia Waters faces additional charges of assaulting an officer.
Kirby Waters’ bond was set at $65,000. Alysia Waters’ bond was set at $75,000.
