A-Game Sportsplex in Cool Springs may close in 2016

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A-Game Sportsplex, a complex for hockey, volleyball and basketball, may be closing in 2016.

In a letter posted on the A-Game website, owners said “A potential acquirer has expressed interest in purchasing our building and land,” adding that an offer was put in for the property on 215 Gothic Court in Cool Springs.

A-Game houses two of only six ice rinks in Middle Tennessee, along with six basketball courts, 12 volleyball courts, a fitness center and a Laser Chase center.

If the sale goes through, A-Game will continue operation until spring of 2016.

The owners released a statement:

“It has been a pleasure, a privilege and a labor of love to serve the sporting community since 2008. We have made several attempts over the years to obtain support from public and private entities to make A-Game a sustainable enterprise. We are working with the management of our various sports programs to find alternative sites to continue operation of their respective sports programs. It is our intention to work with our public officials, the leaders of our sports programs and the sporting community to enable a smooth transition.”

Additional information will be posted on their website when it becomes available.
