Man flees from Bedford County courthouse after sentencing

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities are searching for a man who fled from the Bedford County courthouse late Tuesday morning following his sentencing.

Tristan McMahon received four years of jail time for selling drugs.

According to Sheriff Austin Swing, at the time of his sentencing, the 24-year-old was out on bond and fled while he was being taken to a holding facility in another part of the courthouse with six other inmates.

The sheriff said someone may have helped him escape.

McMahon remains at large and was last seen around 10:20 a.m.

At the time, he was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
