TBI seeks help identifying woman’s body found in creek

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman whose body was found in a creek Wednesday night.

The unidentified woman was found in a creek off Tellico Lake near Sloan Road in Monroe County, about 200 miles east of Nashville.

Authorities said it is unclear how long the woman’s remains had been there.

The woman is believed to be a white female, possibly in her 40s. She is around 5 feet 6 inches tall with medium to dark hair.

She has multiple ear piercings, a pierced bellybutton and a small flower tattoo on her right shoulder blade and three other Asian inspired tattoos on her left leg between her ankle and calf.
